Saturday in Seoul, Gangnam-gu

The length of time between cherry blossoms blooming and their petals dropping is very short. For once, my timing was perfect! These photos cannot do justice to the beauty of these trees. They are breathtaking! I was so fortunate to spend the day with Caroline (and her friends) walking along Seokcheon Lake under the trees. Though, it was very crowded!

We took the subway back to our hotel so we could spend the evening walking along the Han River. The river is a very popular place to walk and picnic any time of day or night, and is Caroline's favorite place in Seoul.

Before returning to our hotel room, we had a delicious meal to give us energy to get back. I had set a personal best daily record of walking 18,780 steps at this point! We ate udon with tempura shrimp, spicy rice cakes, and beef dumplings.

On our way back we walked by this interesting building which, to me, looks like a pod with a face. But actually it's a really cool library and cafe. When we got back, I realized we could see it from our hotel room! It's the very well lit building to the left of the bridge in the last picture.
